In late 2010 REC opened their new pride and joy - a 1.3 Billion Euro solar panel manufacturing facility in Singapore, which was officially opened by the prime minister. It's here that REC produce their solar modules that are installed all over the world.
The Singapore facility is specially designed to use extremely low levels of energy and water - which has won REC several awards.
This year they are increasing the production of the facility by around 25% - REC is a company that is planning on being around for a very long time.
